YOUth

Updated: Sep 24, 2021

It’s been almost 10 years since I first ran for political office. I was 35 at the time. Four years out of law school. Recently married and generally impatient with life.

It’s been almost 10 years since I first ran for political office. I was 35 at the time. Four years out of law school. Recently married and generally impatient with life.
-Obama

Barack ended that line of thought describing how he made the same mistakes any visionary youth would make; how he was appreciated but not trusted; how some organisations let him speak just before they introduce someone else they have endorsed; how he went back down when he lost the election, and how that failure threw him back home to his wife, his kid and his community.

"The future of a nation lies in the heart of its youths."

Your youth is your most valuable time, and that value is not in success alone.

This is the best time you can stand back up when you fall. As you well know, on the ladder of influence, or the train of greatness; you are bound to experience both edges of the sword, success and failure. I call it sword because if you sit to think about the effect of both, they can be one and the same sometimes, depending on your state of mind.

I want you to think beyond the pictures, beyond yourself and livelihood. I want you to think about your legacy, your community and your “why”.

Everything I just stated earlier, definitely starts from today, your youth.
